Valentine's Day!  What a perfect day to start my blog since I love drinking wine outdoors in stemmed glasses hassle free!

The idea for Wine Dock came about from going to see the late, great Gene Harris who played concerts in Idaho at the Ste Chapelle winery during the summertime.  Listening to Gene and his band play was one of my most uplifting experiences while living in Idaho.I thought there had to be a way to enjoy Ste Chapelle's great wine in nice glasses, without a hassle, while listening to Gene Harris and other musical events they had at the winery.  Keeping my wine in my glass really became a problem while moving to the rhythms!

When Gene and his band would take a break, he would say "it's bar time" and with Wine Dock, bar time was  much more enjoyable!  My husband and I would use our prototype, made of kitchen cabinet scraps, at those concerts and it worked.  No more having to balance our glasses or ask someone to hold my glass while I had to step away or get something to eat out of our picnic basket.

Thus, with a lot of thought, experimenting and prototypes Wine Dock LLC was born.

Wine Docks are now made in Seattle, WA.  There are other wine glass holders available online but none,  that I see,  are as sturdy and as portable as Wine Dock.  I want to do my small part to support small business and products made in the America so Wine Docks will remain made in the USA.

And just think of the possibilities to save your wine at all of the outdoor events in the Pacific Northwest, California, your backyard, camping, the beach and well, everywhere!

Technical scoop:

Wine Docks are constructed of strong clear acrylic with a beautiful hand flame polished edge.
The holder includes a slot on each end which will fit various sized stems to securely hold 1 or 2 glasses.

Features are:
        -Lightweight at only 7.5 oz.

-Strong supporting stake measuring 11" x .5” x .5”

-Works great in most soil, grass, and sand conditions.

-Small but functional holder top measuring only 9"x 2.75"x .50"
-2 pieces, that when taken apart, can be easily stored.

An additional option is to have  a screen-printed logo on your Wine Dock for promotional use.

Price is $25 or slightly above depending on how they are ordered.  Wine Docks can be ordered from me directly, eBay and KeepAmerica.com.   The site, KeepAmerica.com, will go live in March.  It's a new company that will only sell made in America products to keep jobs in the USA.  Good for them!  KeepAmerica.com currently has a Valentine's Day promotion on their site and Wine Dock is featured on their 1st page of Valentine's Day gift ideas.

I also intend to sell Wine Docks this Spring and Summer at the street fairs in the neighborhoods of Fremont and Georgetown in Seattle.

I'm very grateful to Apres Wine Company and The Cork and More in South Lake Tahoe, CA, and also the The Cheese Cellar in Seattle, for being my first wine shop customers.   Thanks so much to you all!

Thanks for visiting and come on summertime!

Cheers!
